Sun-Filled, Divinely Inspired Mayan Adventure in Mexico with Transcendence Teacher Jill Renee Feeler

Feb 9-16, 2023

A warm weather holiday when we need it most ~ A soulful, sit back and relax vacation to look forward to in Mexico’s beautiful Mayan Riviera

February is the perfect time to have a warm weather vacation planned and ready to go, especially when it is with soulful companions.  We allow ourselves to enjoy self, others… life.  I’ve got another great trip prepared for you. All-inclusive*, private transfers, small group travel, beautiful setting, deep (even cosmic) conversations, rich historical meaning, delicious food, drink and ready hugs and laughter.  I love putting these epic, top-quality adventures together for us!

So, who is joining me for this custom trip to the stunning, tropical Mayan Riviera?

The Mayan Riviera is south of the hustle and bustle of busier Cancun, on the south-east coast of Mexico’s Yucatán Peninsula. On the Caribbean sea, it offers white sand beaches, turquoise crystal clear waters, lush jungles, the largest coral reef in the Northern Hemisphere and some of the most magnificent Sacred Mayan sites in all of Mexico. It is a place like no other. I travel here often with my family and I brought a client group here in 2015 (it was magical).  I can’t wait to go back in February ~ I’ve included my very favorite places and activities.

February is an ideal time to visit, with bright sunny days, gentle ocean breezes and average highs in the low 80’s F (higher 20’s C) .  Where I live in the Northern climate, by February, my soulfulness is truly yearning for some fun, sun and smile-filled days alongside others who enjoy (need? lol) the same. I’ve got us all taken care of for another customized, divinely-planned holiday together.

Join Transcendental Teacher, Jill Renee Feeler, and enjoy the mysteries of the Yucatán, the intrigue of the Mayan and Mexican cultures and get a glimpse of another way of life while tapping further into your own, timeless, transcendent nature.

Update:  This trip is fully booked

Chichen Itza

The iconic “new wonder of the world”, El Castillo at Chichén-Itzá

Il Kil Cenote

Top-rated Il Kil cenote with its other-worldly qualities and refreshing (healing?) waters

Day 2:  Friday Feb 10, 2023

We’ll set off in early morning for our private sunrise guided tour into Chichén-Itzá before the crowds, with time for personal connection to this powerful place.  A wonderful getting acquainted time with the timeless feel of this sacred space and its people who visioned, and created it. Chichén-Itzá is recognized as a new wonder of the world. And when you are there, you will immediately see (feel?) why. Yes, there are all the incredible structures above ground, but present day archaeologists and anthropologists have yet to fully uncover the below ground architecture and their purpose, meaning.  New discoveries are still happening, as they are in other timeless, cosmically-charged areas of Earth.

(Note: for those who like to eat before an adventure, please bring some snacks to have on hand with you, or arrange with hotel for an earlier breakfast. This is our only pre-sunrise departure and I want you to feel comfortable for maximum enjoyment and soulful connection).

The name Chichén-Itzá is Mayan for “at the mouth of the well of the Itza.” The Itza were an ethnic group of Mayans who had risen to power in the northern part of the Yucatán peninsula, where the city is located.

Known as the Sacred City, this huge ceremonial center has numerous pyramids and temples, one of which, The Temple of the Warriors has 1,000 columns.  (In comparison, Egypt’s famous Karnak temple has 134 (huge) columns.) With its authentic and conscientious restoration and some of the most powerful and moving frescoes in the ancient Mayan world, it is a breathtaking and most impressive site.

The Mayans were experts in the understanding of how the Earth and the planets worked together in the yearly cycle.  This knowledge is encoded in the great pyramid, El Castillo. For many, El Castillo has a mystical connection to the story of Atlantis, to Egypt, even Peru and the other Earth-based interdimensional portals for time and space travel.  Many people feel a connection to other/”past” life memories of experiencing Egypt, Peru, the mythical Atlantis and the main pyramid, El Castillo (which also called the Temple of Kukulkan).

Twice a year, on the Equinoxes, light and shadow create an effect that make it appear as if the Mayan God Kukulcan, the Feathered Serpent is descending down the stairway of this grand pyramid.

El Castillo has staircases on all four sides, each with 91 steps and including the last step on the top totals 365 steps, the number of days in a solar year. After a millennium, this pyramid still functions as a highly reliable way to pinpoint the changes of the seasons.

The observatory (Caracol), is unique in that it is the only truly round building found at any Mayan site. Its function as an observatory for astronomical study is obvious. As you spend time exploring this mysterious city, perhaps you will connect with your own parallel/”past” life experience and learn more about your soulful journeying through, within, time.

My fellow cosmic creators are likely to feel an incredible, surreal huge-ness to your self as we wander, ponder and feel Chichén-Itzá.  In our vastness, we’ll explore  what ~ was ~ as a vision alongside the actual creations, as an architectural, societal and spiritual design relative to what ~ is ~, in its firmness, in present spacetime, remaining for us to experience as ~ our ~ present.  To me, in these trips, we are bringing back to life the timeless codes, space-less wonder of life, of creation, of living from our soulfulness, into spacetime.

After sunrise tour we’ll remain in our smile-y contemplative states, and enjoy the human bodysuit with brunch/lunch at a nearby restaurant for some authentic local cuisine.  After this nourishment we’ll further celebrate the bodysuit and beauty in nature with a sacred, healing swim at what is known as the Sacred Blue Cenote, Il Kil (means Windy Place in Maya).

If you’ve never experienced a Cenote, you are in for a wonderful treat. They are fresh water, naturally occurring water ways unique to the Yucatan ~ and to me, they feel absolutely magical. I sense the refreshing, other worldly feeling cenotes of the area felt magical to the original Mayans as well.  I can easily envision (remember?) them, as a regular, reliable space for sacred ceremony, spiritual ritual and multidimensional connection, integration as well as playful, smiles-filled healing.

We have the remainder of afternoon to relax at hotel, enjoy pool, take siesta (nap), or even re-enter Chichén-Itzá on your own until it closes around sunset.

Dinner together at hotel or nearby restaurant to share stories of our day and enjoy each other’s company.

Included meals: “Brunch”/Dinner

Lodging: Hotel Chichén-Itzá (Night 2 of 2)

Casa Bella Akumal Mexico

Day 3:  Saturday Feb 11, 2023

Breakfast at hotel on our own, then pack and check out at about 10 am (official schedule will be clearly communicated each day), heading to our beautiful private villa in Akumal. (~ 2hrs 25 minutes drive to Akumal from Chichen Itza/Piste).

Akumal means “Place of the Turtle” in Mayan. The turtles live in the area all year and are a regular site for snorkelers and divers. Adding to the allure is that Akumal is home to three species of sea turtles: Green, Loggerhead & Hawksbill.

Unpack and get settled into the villa.

Those interested can take golf carts into town, rent snorkel equipment for our 5 days to have on hand at villa, do some shopping at the quaint local shops and possibly stop for a margarita.

Snorkeling behind the villa.

Yal-Ku Lagoon is an extensive freshwater lagoon connected to the ocean. In Mayan, Yal-Ku means where small things live in safety, which just makes me smile. My favorite fish is in this area, a Damsel with darker blue body and lighter blue, luminescent-looking spots all over it. When I see it while snorkeling you will hear my squeal and possibly see me cry.

Lunch: We’ll have food items on hand for snacks/lunch at the villa or those interested can head to a nearby restaurant for a light lunch and to check out Akumal.

Free time this afternoon to get settled in, fully unpack and possibly check out the lagoon behind Villa. The villa has two inflatable paddle boards and 2 kayaks for us to use.  We can also enjoy the villa’s pools (larger one faces garden, smaller crescent-shaped pool faces Caribbean Sea) or the villa’s new roof top jacuzzi.

We’ll gather to go to dinner, head off in our golf carts to get to the beach side restaurant Lol-Ha.

Included meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Lodging: Casa Bella (Night 1 of 5)  Casa Bella (“house of beauty”) has a main villa and a garden view casita.  It was remodeled in 2021. The villa is literally one of the best in the very special area of Akumal, with expansive views of the ocean and sitting on some of the best snorkeling in Akumal (Yal Ku lagoon).  We are very lucky that it was available for us!  I stayed at Casa Bella with my family ~2009, pre renovation and it was magical. I can’t wait to come back with you!
Note:  Casa Bella has 10 beds/7 bedrooms/6 full bathrooms + 2 half baths. Depending on registration numbers, first come first serve will be in Casa Bella.  Single and double rooms will be first come, first serve.  I will then consider adding a similar quality nearby condo or villa for others desiring to join us. Max group size for this trip will be 13 guests (+ myself).

Day 4:  Sunday Feb 12, 2023

A nice relaxing day at villa and in Akumal.

Breakfast at villa self-serve as desired, morning message from Jill at 9am then head to Akumal Bay to enjoy beach, snorkeling with turtles and other beautiful sea beings.

Relaxed lunch at beach side restaurant Lol Ha.

Back to Villa for cleaning up, possible siesta, then dinner together at the charming La Buena Vida, right on the soft, white beach sand, with bar-side swings.

Readings and messages from Jill after dinner, on roof top deck under stars.

Included meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Lodging: Casa Bella (Night 2 of 5)

Turtles in Akumal Bay
La Buena Vida
Coba Mayan Pyramid Mexico
Aktun Chen Cenote Akumal Mexico

Day 5:  Monday Feb 13, 2023

Breakfast at Villa, self-service, then depart to visit the beautiful and mysterious Mayan ceremonial site of Coba (1 hr from Akumal).

Coba is surrounded by five big lagoons within the natural jungle and its name means “ruffled waters”. It has the Pyramid Nohoch-Mul, 126 ft. high, making it the tallest pyramid in the Yucatan Peninsula. Coba is known for its extraordinary Mayan engineering which allowed them to make the “Sak-Be” (White roads). Both the tallest pyramid and the greatest concentration of Sak-Be suggest Coba was a major city. Even today, only a small fraction of the many structures in this vast site have been excavated and this, together with the remoteness and jungle setting, contribute to the feeling of exploring new ground.

Option to climb the main pyramid, enjoy bikes or take biked coaches on the expansive site, experience channeled message from Jill at site in stadium area.

After Coba, we will experience the healing and refreshing waters of Aktun Chen Cenote.  Return to Akumal.

Possible Add-On (if time allows): Depart at ~5pm for evening at Xplor Fuego at adventure park (22 min from Akumal) for zip lining, drive ATVs, Hammock zip line into Cenote and kayaking in cave/cenote. Includes buffet dinner. Return at ~11pm. Jill be doing the Add-On but those staying at villa/in Akumal can easily manage with golf carts, etc. (Happy to provide activity ideas, dinner places, etc).  (Xplor Fuego is not open on Sunday, or we’d go one day before – we’ll see if it fits or not.)

Those opting not to go to Xplor can take golf carts into town for dinner, enjoy rooftop spa and relaxing at villa in the evening.

Included meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Lodging: Casa Bella (Night 3 of 5)

Day 6:  Tuesday Feb 14, 2023

Breakfast at Villa, self-service.  Relaxing day hanging out at villa, taking golf carts into Akumal for beach time/turtle snorkeling or snorkeling/paddle boarding/kayaking in lagoon behind villa. Lunch can be enjoyed in Akumal at any of the nearby restaurants.

Optional Add On: Day tour of Sian Ka´an Biosphere. Sian Ka´an protects 70 miles of Caribbean coastal reefs, mangroves, and savannas, and is home to over 350 types of birds, as well as pumas, jaguars, ocelots, three different species of monkey, crocodiles, three species of turtle , dolphins, manatees, and an abundance of plants.
Numerous subterranean chambers have been found and this gives the site a very different feel. With rounded edges on its pyramid and other buildings, and its proximity to protected Caribbean waters makes it an interesting contrast to some of the architecture of the inland sites.

We’ll have a special treat enjoying the natural lazy river, bobbing through the mangroves, relaxing and enjoying the clear blue waters.

A walk down a path populated with birds, butterflies and abundant wildlife leads to the lagoon in the Sian Ka´an biosphere. Here we will enjoy a boat trip to experience the natural beauty and ecological wonders of the Reserve, a Mayan phrase for “Where the Sky is Born”. The crystal clear waters and lush mangroves are a nature lover’s delight. Floating gently through canals that have been used for over 2,000 years, one appreciates the ancient Maya who once inhabited this unusually tranquil place.

Jill be doing the Add-On but those staying at villa/in Akumal can easily manage with golf carts, etc. (Happy to provide activity ideas, lunch places, etc)

Shower/Clean up then enjoy authentic, top quality dinner together prepared at our villa by local chef.

Included meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Lodging: Casa Bella (Night 4 of 5)

Sian Ka'An Reserve
Bobbing in the Mangroves at Sain Ka'An Mexico
Great Mayan Reef Snorkeling Mexico
Snorkeling at Great Mayan Reef Mexico

Day 7:  Wednesday Feb 15, 2023

Breakfast at Villa, self-service.

Today we’ll experience the Great Mayan Reef on a private chartered boat with incredible snorkeling and optional diving (f0r those certified).  Last time I snorkeled there I saw an impressive (and beautifully shy) octopus!

The Mesoamerican Barrier Reef, also known as The Great Mayan Reef or Great Maya Reef, is the most extensive barrier reef system in the Western Hemisphere. Running more than 700 miles along the eastern coasts of Mexico, Belize, Guatemala and Honduras, the reef has been an adventurers’ paradise for centuries.  As far as sea life goes, visitors to the reef are in for a treat! Over 500 species of fish live here, 60 diverse coral species, four types of sea turtles, saltwater crocodiles, the largest number of whale sharks in the world and the largest number of manatees in the western Caribbean. As could be expected, this makes for one of the most popular snorkeling and diving locations in the world.

After our adventure in the Caribbean Sea. we’ll head back to villa to shower and clean ourselves up.

Tonight will be our final meal together which we will celebrate by a relaxed dinner at the villa, enjoying a wonderful meal prepared by a private chef, and then Mini Readings on patio with star gazing.

Included meals: Breakfast/Lunch/Dinner

Lodging: Casa Bella (Night 5 of 5)

Day 8:  Thursday Feb 16, 2023

Departures via private transportation to airport. From Akumal, transfer companies recommend departing Akumal 5 hours prior to flight departure time.

Airport is ~ 1hr from Akumal, and apparently there is a construction project underway near the airport that can cause delays.

Flight departure times of not earlier than 10am are recommended for those who’d like to have enjoyable final evening together on Day 7.

Included meals: no meals provided today but you are welcome to eat what is provided at villa on your own before your departures for the airport.

Add-ons

Xplor Fuego:  $150

When the sun goes down, the Yucatanean jungle comes alive with the sounds of wildlife. Swim, drive, raft and zipline your way though the park under the cover of darkness. Explore treetops, jungle paths and subterranean caves. Includes Buffet Dinner and non-alcoholic beverages.

Fly over the Mayan jungle in an extreme adventure on the highest and safest Zip-lines in the area. See for yourself what it feels like to fly among the stars admiring the nighttime landscape of the Mexican Caribbean from the treetops.

ATVs: Take the wheel in a fun activity that will take you on a ride through the jungle across hanging bridges and caves, illuminated by hundreds of torches to guide you down the road.

Paddle with your own hands while you admire the underground world around you: the thousands of stalactites, stalagmites, caverns and caves of this spectacular place.

Swim in a stalactite river to discover the inside of the Earth and explore the paths that nature took million of years to create, between the rock formations at Xplor.

Fly comfortably seated on a hammock that’s been turned into a zip-line to land in a refreshing cenote.

Sian Ka’an day trip: $250

In the mayan language, Sian Ka’an means “born from the sky” and to spend time in this nature reserve indeed feels like a gift from heaven.

With endless stretches of pristine wetlands that overlap with isolated bays & inlets, coral reef & mangrove forests, this protected area is a feast for the senses and one of the most important coastal nesting grounds in the Caribbean. Home to an enormous amount of biodiversity, Sian Ka’an is a UNESCO World Heritage site, occupying special status inside the ‘Man and the Biosphere’ project – a UNESCO initiative that seeks to integrate local activities into protected areas through sustainable practices. The local economy, based on fishing & tourism, has survived & prospered with the regulations of the reserve ensuring sustainable practices & the protection of the coast from over development.

This gives the visitor an exceptional opportunity to visit the reserve wetlands. The local fishermen we work with guide you through the lagoons and mangrove forests, traveling south on the water through a truly pristine landscape, where we visit Boca Paila, an open cenote and search for crocodiles, manatees and the great variety of bird life that live or migrate to the area. The fact that we avoid the road to travel by boat makes the visit extra special.

After this epic journey, the lagoon feeds out into Ascension Bay and the open ocean. You will notice changes in water color and endless skies stretching out over the Caribbean.

With luck, we will also spot the local dolphins swimming in the wild and some of the different sea turtle species that inhabit the bay. And if the waters are calm, we jump into the water to snorkel on a section of the barrier reef system, home to thousands of aquatic species. If that weren’t enough, a beautiful sandbank the locals call “nature’s swimming pool” is where we take time to relax & swim in the clearest of water before we end the boat tour. The town of Punta Allen is located at the tip of the headland overlooking the bay, where we are treated to a local lunch and time to relax after an action packed day.

Relative Age of Notable Ancient Sites from Across the Globe

Interesting comparison of believed eras of some of the most regularly known cosmically attuned sites is provided here. I was curious and wondered if you might be, too.  Provided in order of oldest to newest. Please know the dates do change as historians, geologists, anthropologists and of course archaeologists make new discoveries.  I’ve been to many of these places, some not by specific intention, and have plans to visit some of the others.

  • Göbekli Tepe in SE Turkey (built over 12,000 years ago) | Construction is currently believed to be from 11,000 BC
  • Newgrange in Ireland (considered to be constructed about 5,200 years ago) | It is understood that this unique mound was erected about 3,200 BC.
  • The Dolmens de Pépieux-Minervois in France (more than 5,000 years ago) | It is understood by my French guide friends that this stone structure was created earlier than Stonehenge, possibly from 2,550 BC.
  • Stonehenge in England (7,000 to 5,000 years ago) | It is presently understood that construction happened between somewhere around 3,000 BC and 2,000 BC (quite a range lol).
  • Pyramids of Giza in Egypt (estimated at 4,600 years ago) | Construction is considered to have been from 2,600 BC
  • Sphinx in Egypt (over 4,500 years ago) | It is most popularly understood that construction began 2,550 BC while others have it dated much older, to possibly even 10,000 BC (info from one theorist, a geologist, is here).  Some metaphysical sources indicate up to 80,000 BC but that feels like a stretch.
  • Karnak Temple in Luxor, Egypt (over 4,000 years ago) | It is understood that construction began 2055 BC and continued through to Roman control of Egypt around 100 A.D.
  • Delphi Temple in Greece (approximately 2,700 years ago) | Construction is considered to have taken place from approximately 560 BC to 330 BC
  • Ohio’s Ancient Indian Mounds/Serpent Mound in the USA (dates recently revised to 400 years earlier than originally thought ~ now believed to be from 2,300 years ago) | Constructed in approximately 300 BC
  • The Great Wall of China (for comparison purposes, as I don’t sense it as a cosmically attuned site) (approximately 2,200 years ago) | Construction is considered to have taken place at approximately 220 BC
  • Chichen Itza in Mexico (approximately 1,900 years ago, recently revised by 400 years, article HERE) | Construction is now considered to have begun in approximately 100 AD
  • Machu Picchu in Peru (approximately 572 years ago) | Construction of the present version is considered to be from 1450 AD (and abandoned in 1572 AD)

Note:  why don’t I have the so-called Bosnian Pyramids on this list?  Well, because it feels like a hoax by an amateur archaeologist and has been refuted by professionals in open letters, stating the discoverer is lacking evidence for his claims. Article here.  I have audience members and clients that have visited these pyramids and felt deep connection there. It is possible that what they were feeling wasn’t an ancient structure 3 times as old as the Pyramids in Giza… but instead were feeling their own soulfulness, loving connection of Earth and amplified group excitement added via the very likely manufactured story offered by Sam Osmanagich.
